About This Role
Teaching science to students of various ages and curricula is the core of this part-time online role, delivering engaging lessons in both Arabic and English. This position suits an experienced and dedicated online teacher with strong scientific knowledge and a passion for student success.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and interactive online Science lessons using tools such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other teaching platforms
- Plan lessons and prepare learning materials tailored to individual student needs and learning objectives
- Explain scientific concepts clearly across Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and General Science, as appropriate to your expertise and the levels you teach
- Develop students’ scientific reasoning, problem-solving skills, understanding of scientific inquiry, and confidence
- Use relevant examples, visual resources, and interactive simulations to help students understand and apply scientific concepts
- Support students with practice activities, homework, revision, and examination preparation
- Assess student understanding, identify learning gaps, and provide constructive feedback
- Prepare supplementary resources, including worksheets, practice questions, and interactive activities
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress
- Create a supportive learning environment that encourages participation and questions
- Deliver lessons punctually and maintain professional conduct, confidentiality, and appropriate boundaries with students
Requirements
- Fluency in both Arabic and English
- Proven experience teaching or tutoring Science, including one or more of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science
- Strong scientific knowledge and familiarity with the grade levels and curricula you teach
- Proficiency in online teaching tools, including digital whiteboards and screen sharing
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain scientific concepts clearly
- Ability to adapt lessons to different ability levels and individual learning needs
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- A reliable internet connection, a suitable computer, and a quiet teaching space
- A valid teaching license or teaching certification is mandatory
