About This Role
Teaching mathematics online to students from around the world is the core of this role, providing high-quality one-to-one or small-group instruction. This position suits an enthusiastic, highly qualified, and experienced teacher who can adapt to diverse backgrounds and academic levels.
Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging live online mathematics classes using platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams
- Teach students from different countries, backgrounds, and academic levels
- Deliver lessons according to international curricula and individual student learning objectives
- Prepare students for examinations such as Cambridge IGCSE, O Level, AS & A Level, and other international programs
- Develop personalized lesson plans based on each student's strengths, weaknesses, and academic goals
- Explain mathematical concepts clearly using digital whiteboards, presentations, examples, and interactive activities
- Provide regular homework, practice questions, quizzes, and assessments
- Track and report student progress
- Identify learning gaps and provide targeted support
- Develop students' problem-solving, logical reasoning, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
- Maintain professional communication with students and parents
- Provide constructive feedback after lessons and assessments
- Ensure a professional, engaging, and distraction-free online learning environment
- Maintain punctuality and reliable attendance for all scheduled classes
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Education, or a related field
- Previous experience teaching mathematics online is preferred
- Strong command of spoken and written English
- Excellent knowledge of mathematics and problem-solving techniques
- Experience with international curricula such as Cambridge, Edexcel, IB, or similar is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to teach students from different age groups and cultural backgrounds
- Comfortable using online teaching platforms and digital whiteboards
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a suitable computer/laptop
- Professional webcam, microphone, and a quiet teaching environment
