About This Role
Teaching English to young learners in China is the core of this remote, part-time role. The teacher will deliver engaging and high-quality online lessons, helping students develop their communication, reading, listening, and speaking skills. This position suits an enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate English teacher who enjoys working with children and can create a positive online learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and interactive online English lessons to young learners
- Teach 25-minute and 50-minute classes according to the assigned schedule
- Help students improve their speaking, listening, pronunciation, vocabulary, reading, and overall English proficiency
- Adapt teaching methods to suit different ages, abilities, and learning styles
- Encourage student participation and build confidence in spoken English
- Use teaching materials, presentations, and interactive activities effectively
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback when required
- Maintain a professional, friendly, and encouraging classroom environment
- Arrive on time and maintain a reliable teaching schedule
- Communicate professionally with the academic team regarding student progress and classroom matters
Requirements
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Clear pronunciation and strong communication skills
- A TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, or equivalent teaching qualification is preferred
- Previous experience teaching English to children is an advantage
- A friendly, patient, energetic, and engaging teaching personality
- Ability to manage young learners effectively in an online environment
- A reliable computer or laptop, stable internet connection, webcam, and headset
- A quiet, professional teaching environment
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Willingness to work according to scheduled teaching hours aligned with China Standard Time (GMT+8)
