Onboarding Specialist

About This Role

Onboarding new hires is the core purpose of this specialist role, which involves conducting orientation sessions and ensuring all pre-employment requirements are met. The position suits a candidate with experience in HR or recruitment within a BPO or call center environment, who can manage high volumes and tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct orientation sessions for new BPO hires, introducing company culture, policies, and attendance guidelines
• Collect, verify, and complete pre-employment requirements (e.g., government IDs, medical clearances, background checks)
• Coordinate with IT and Facilities to ensure workstation setups, log-in credentials, and equipment are ready prior to Day 1
• Monitor candidate completion rates in the onboarding portal and resolve delays or missing documentation
• Hand over fully onboarded cohorts to the Training and Operations teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field
• 1–2 years of experience in HR, recruitment, or onboarding within a BPO/call center environment
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) or HRIS tools
• Strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage tight deadlines and high volume
• Willingness to work shifting schedules or night shifts to align with client operations
