Office Manager

About This Role

Managing the day-to-day activities of seasonal team members across several store locations is the core of this Office Manager role. This position drives operations to maximize efficiency, increase revenue, and improve office profitability within an assigned district. It involves working with sensitive, highly confidential information and diverse matters requiring a working knowledge of the business.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruiting efforts and manage the interviewing process for seasonal employees in the assigned area
• Manage leads from JHNet and other sources
• Monitor associate performance to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures, correcting errors or problems
• Review and approve work schedules and timecard approvals, monitor time tracker during all shifts, and work with Human Resources on employee relations issues, complaints, and training
• Ensure all assigned locations meet company standards including office setup, buildouts and breakdown, technology setup, telecommunications, office supplies, and facilities maintenance
• Maintain relationships with property managers and landlords
• Provide employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems or in resolving escalated complaints or disputes
• Monitor performance, holds/voids/rejects, discount reports, and productivity reports for the assigned store group
• Meet all office goals including revenue, cash control, and tax return count in the assigned area

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent related business experience
• Two years' previous management or supervisory experience
• Proficiency with a variety of computer software applications such as electronic mail, internet browser, Word, Excel, and accounting or tax preparation software

Nice to have:

• Course of study in management or in tax preparation and/or accounting
• Previous tax preparation experience and possession of a PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number)
