Role Overview This position combines clinical practice as a PT/OT with research responsibilities. The role involves evaluating and treating patients across all ages in inpatient or outpatient rehab settings, developing personalized care plans, and serving as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students. Simultaneously, the role supports rehabilitation-focused clinical research by collaborating with investigators and scientists to develop, assess, and interpret therapy interventions for neurologic conditions. Responsibilities include screening participants, performing assessments, ensuring protocol adherence, contributing to funding proposals, and providing clinical expertise for study data interpretation.
Qualifications & Skills Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Physical or Occupational Therapy, be licensed by the appropriate state authority, and have BLS certification. A minimum of 2+ years of clinical experience is required. Familiarity with outcomes measures, data collection, and statistical interpretation of clinical data is essential. The role demands strong communication, patient education, documentation skills, and the ability to supervise support personnel. Knowledge of safe body mechanics and patient-centered care is crucial.
