About the role
We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients of all ages with orthopedic, neurological, developmental, cognitive, and functional conditions caused by injury, illness, or age-related changes. Key Responsibilities Include
- Designing individualized care plans incorporating goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge strategies
- Performing patient assessments, selecting appropriate examination methods, and evaluating clinical findings
- Educating patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare teams using effective teaching techniques
- Monitoring and documenting evaluations, treatment plans, and patient responses
- Performing therapeutic interventions such as ultrasound and fluidotherapy treatments
- Collaborating with referring providers on patient progress and treatment recommendations
- Using support personnel ethically and providing regular feedback on care delivery
- Ensuring safe patient transfers and body mechanics to prevent injuries
Qualifications Include
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in the respective state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days
- Completion of continuing education on acute stroke care
