Occupational Therapist (OT) - Outpatient Neuro

Role: Occupational Therapist responsible for evaluating and treating patients of all ages, serving as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students.

• Designs and adjusts personalized care plans incorporating goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge strategies.
• Performs patient examinations, utilizes reliable assessment methods, and screens patients to determine therapy needs.
• Educates patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare providers using effective teaching techniques.
• Monitors and documents care delivery, patient responses, and progress in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team, providing updates on patient performance, transfer recommendations, and discharge planning.
• Supervises support personnel such as Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and technicians, ensuring quality care.
• Demonstrates safe body mechanics, performs patient transfers, and adheres to ethical guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills

• Licensed Occupational Therapist with current BLS certification.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and patient education skills.
• Ability to modify interventions based on patient behavior and response.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
