The Sonographer performs ultrasound examinations and records the findings. This includes routine ultrasound exams, as well as specialized procedures as directed. This is a PRN position within our float pool and will require travel to clinics within the local region on an as-needed basis.

  • Performs nuchal translucency scans per established standards and guidelines.
  • Completes fetal surveys.
  • Performs hysterosonograms, as well as 3D-4D scans.
  • Evaluates the images for their quality, but also interprets what was captured in the image.
  • Documents/updates information in patient’s electronic medical record.
  • Represents clinic in a professional manner. Treats all customers, internal and external, in a courteous and cooperative manner.
  • Attends required meetings and participates in team activities and professional development activities.
  • Demonstrates and embodies the Women’s Care mission and core values.
  • Compliance with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid OB/GYN ARDMS certification.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent OBGYN experience required.
  • Experience with 3D-4D scans.
  • Excellent bedside manner and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a stressful, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to communicate with coworkers, providers and patients in a courteous and effective manner.
  • Ability to use a computer and enter data in electronic medical record system, eCW a plus.
  • Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.
  • Must be willing and able to travel to various clinics within the local region.
  • A minimum of 2 shifts per month is required.
