Role Overview The position involves overseeing staffing, patient assignments, and clinical operations in a fast-paced environment, ensuring 24-hour patient care coverage. Responsibilities include supervising nursing staff, coordinating clinical education, mentoring, and participating in recruitment and performance evaluations. The role acts as a clinical consultant, troubleshooting operational issues and maintaining compliance with policies and standards. In the absence of the Nurse Manager, the individual executes managerial duties and assumes "on call" responsibilities. Providing direct patient care when necessary and managing supplies and equipment are also key duties.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing school with a current RN license.
- Bachelor’s in Nursing or working towards completion within two years.
- Minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree, supervisory experience, and relevant professional certification.
- Strong leadership, clinical, and communication skills, with the ability to mentor staff and collaborate across departments.
Additional Requirements
- CPR certification within three months of hire.
- Must adhere to infection control policies and use PPE as required.
- Work involves frequent walking, standing, and lifting in patient care and office areas.
