DEFINITION:
Promotes development and implementation of total nursing care for patients by assessment, nursing diagnosis, patient care plans, provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Develop systems to provide safe care to a population including infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics. Responsible for the oversight or coverage of the operation and management of all departments under their supervision.
REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE):
Authorized to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Oklahoma.
Current Basic Life Support
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
MSN.
Experience, school attendance record and performance record may be considered.
National certification as appropriate to specialty.
