About the role
Role Overview: Provides leadership and support to the senior executive (CNO) overseeing nursing and patient care services within a hospital. Assists in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practices across multiple units.
Key Responsibilities
- Assumes 24/7 responsibility for designated areas.
- Supports ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care.
- Ensures clinical staff competency and effective resource management.
- Serves as a role model and advocate for the nursing profession.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Active registered nurse license in the practice state.
- Associate degree in nursing; BSN or higher preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive hospital management experience.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to serve as a hospital operations role model and advocate for nursing.
- CPR certification required.
