As an Early Years Educator, you’ll play an important role in helping children develop socially, emotionally and intellectually. As An Early Years Educator, You Will

  • Provide outstanding care and learning experiences for children.
  • Support children’s personal, social and emotional development.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities.
  • Encourage children to explore, investigate and develop their independence.
  • Build strong and positive relationships with children and their families.
  • Observe and support each child’s individual learning and development.
  • Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment.
  • Work closely with your colleagues to provide consistently high standards of care and education.

Discover Our East Malling Nursery

Our East Malling nursery is rated Good by Ofsted and provides a welcoming, eco-friendly environment for up to 74 children .

Sustainability is an important part of our nursery. We’re passionate about reducing food waste and helping children understand the importance of recycling and upcycling from an early age.

Our experienced and longstanding management team has introduced the Bee Curious curriculum , helping to create an exciting and engaging learning environment for children.

We’re also proud of our strong connections with the local community, including links with local primary and secondary schools and the church. Throughout the year, we take part in community events and activities that give children opportunities to learn beyond the nursery.

Located close to East and West Malling train stations and junctions 4 and 5 of the M20 , our nursery is conveniently situated for local transport links. We’re also surrounded by a number of local primary schools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and delivering educational activities that promote children's development.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Take on the role of Key Person, fostering b partnerships with children and their families.
  • Track and report on children's progress through observations and assessments.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 2 qualification in early years education/childcare.
  • Experience working with children under 5.
  • Empathy and understanding – each child is unique.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

You may have previous experience working with children, ideally as an Early Years Educator, Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Assistant or Nursery Nurse.
