This night-shift post on the cardiac ward pairs patient care with mentoring new nurses. The Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive healthcare to pediatric patients and adolescents in collaboration with physicians, their families, and the healthcare team. The role focuses on improving the health and well-being of school-age youth in school-based settings.

This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities; however, may provide clinical guidance to support staff as appropriate. The Department Officer is the Chief Medical Officer. The role reports to the Chief Medical Officer and/or Associate Medical Director. Working relationships inside the Center are all-inclusive. Outside the Center, relationships include clients, community organizations and agencies, professional colleagues, professional organizations, and institutions of learning.
