Job Title: Onsite Nurse Practitioner – Occupational & Primary Care (Kernersville, NC)
Location: Kernersville, NC (100% Onsite)
Pay Rate: $65.00 – $75.00 / hour
Employment Type: Full-Time Contract (Approximately 6 months, with strong potential for extension)
Schedule: Thursday – Saturday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (36 hours/week, with occasional Sunday shifts as needed)
About the Role
We are seeking an immediate-hire Nurse Practitioner (NP) to support an onsite medical clinic in Kernersville, NC. This low-volume, focused outpatient environment primarily delivers primary care, occupational injury/illness response, and DOT physicals to adult site personnel.
This contract position is active through late December, with a high likelihood of further extensions (the contract has already expanded beyond its initial timeline). Expedited onboarding/waived compliance options are available to get the right provider starting ASAP.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver adult primary care, basic occupational health care, and first-line treatment for workplace injuries/illnesses in an onsite clinic setting.
- Conduct routine physicals, including DOT physical examinations.
- Operate independently with a focus on patient care quality, efficiency, and clear documentation.
- Complete a mandatory 2-day paid orientation/training program prior to starting clinic shifts.
Position Requirements
- Licensure: Active Nurse Practitioner (APRN) license in North Carolina (or eligible for state licensure).
- DOT Certification: Current NRCME DOT Medical Examiner certification preferred. License and DOT Certification reimbursement is fully provided if you do not currently hold an active NC APRN license or DOT certification.
- Availability: Strict commitment to the weekly schedule (Thursday–Saturday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM) is required. Candidates must be reliable and able to commit to these exact shift hours.
