Nurse Practitioner

About This Role

This Advanced Practice Provider (APP) role involves caring for patients within the scope of training and approved agreements, as outlined by their governing board. The position works collaboratively with other providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow and a high level of patient satisfaction, directly supporting a franchised business location.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete, detailed, and accurate health histories, review patient records, develop comprehensive medical assessments, and order appropriate laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic studies
• Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals of patients to appropriate healthcare facilities, agencies, community resources, or physicians
• Institute emergency measures and emergency treatment or appropriate stabilization measures in situations such as cardiac arrest, shock, hemorrhage, convulsions, poisoning, and allergic reactions
• Interpret and analyze patient data to determine patient status, patient management, and treatment
• Provide instructions and guidance regarding healthcare and healthcare promotion to patients, family, and significant others
• Work collaboratively with staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Board certified by ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA
• Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice
• DEA number and state-controlled substance certificate, as required
• Able to multi-task and work independently
• Ability to perform emergency procedures and interpret clinical data
