Nurse Intern, Labor and Delivery

About This Role

This night shift role involves delivering primary bedside care to patients in the Labor and Delivery department. The Nurse Intern will assist patients with daily living activities, observe and document their progress, and communicate updates to preceptors and the care team. It suits an individual accepted or enrolled in a nursing program.

Responsibilities

• Deliver primary bedside care by taking vital signs and assisting patients with activities of daily living to maintain comfort, dignity, and optimal recovery conditions
• Observe and document patient progress in real time, communicating critical observations and status updates to preceptors to ensure continuous, safety-focused care delivery
• Contribute to personalized care planning by reporting diagnostic test results and clinical observations directly to the care team
• Support unit operational flow by preparing and safely transporting patients to diagnostic services, maintaining clean care environments, and ensuring smooth daily workflows

Requirements

• Instructor specializing in Basic Life Support obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
• High school diploma/GED required
• Must be accepted or enrolled into a Nursing program upon date of hire/transfer and begin classes within 90 days of date of hire/transfer
