About the role

Role Overview: Responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals and adjunctive medications to perform patient imaging procedures using advanced instrumentation. Processes data and enhances digital images with computer technology, providing valuable images, data analysis, and patient information to physicians for diagnostic interpretation. Demonstrates behaviors aligned with organizational mission, vision, and values to deliver compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, measure, and administer radiopharmaceuticals for disease detection or treatment.
  • Document patient care accurately in medical records, adhering to policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and quality control on imaging equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality standards, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Manage resources effectively, plan workload efficiently, and maintain a safe environment.
  • Communicate complex concepts clearly to patients, families, and team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Technical Degree or Diploma in Nuclear Medical Technology.
  • Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) and Registered Technologist in Nuclear Medicine (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
  • Preferred: Certification from Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
  • Thorough knowledge of nuclear medicine principles, handling radioactive materials, and data processing.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and independent judgment skills.
  • Physical ability to perform duties, including patient contact and equipment handling.

Physical & Safety Requirements: Medium physical effort, including standing, reaching, and patient interaction. Must have good visual acuity and react quickly in emergencies. Exposure to body fluids and hazardous materials is possible.
