About This Role
Operating vehicles safely to deliver goods and transport freight using GPS routes is the core of this driving role. The position offers an exciting opportunity to be a vital part of a professional team dedicated to reliable and courteous transportation solutions.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate 26ft Box Trucks on interstate roads throughout the states
- Safely operate GPS routes to get to the destination in a timely manner
- Deliver freight and cargo using the vehicle provided while adhering to all traffic laws and safety standards
- Stay out for 4 weeks
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine inspections to ensure optimal operation and safety
- Communicate effectively with clients, dispatchers, and team members using GPS navigation systems and communication devices
- Follow all state transportation regulations and company policies during daily operations
- Conduct basic vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly
Requirements
- Valid Non-Commercial Driver’s License (or equivalent) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, shuttle driver, or chauffeur driving within local routes
- Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and route planning for efficient deliveries or passenger transport
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including lifting heavy luggage or cargo safely
- Strong knowledge of traffic regulations at the state level and commitment to safe driving practices
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform physical tasks occasionally associated with vehicle maintenance or loading/unloading cargo
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed
Nice to have:
- Experience operating passenger vans, medical transportation vehicles, or school buses
