Node JS Developer

About This Role

This role is for a Senior Software Engineer with proven experience as a Node.js developer using TypeScript. The successful candidate will write clean, efficient code to create scalable back-end services and APIs, and possess excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. The position involves designing and implementing RESTful APIs and managing various database systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust, secure, and maintainable server-side applications using Node.js and TypeScript
• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints
• Integrate and manage relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis)
• Handle asynchronous operations, event-driven programming, and stream processing effectively
• Leverage TypeScript’s static typing, interfaces, and generics to minimize runtime errors and ensure code reliability
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Supertest
• Participate in or lead code reviews to enforce best practices, code quality, and style guides
• Maintain databases
• Design, implement, and optimize database schemas, ensuring data integrity and efficient storage

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience as a Node.js developer (using TypeScript)
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
• Ability to design and implement RESTful APIs
• Proficiency in database management systems, such as MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
