Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Night Senior Care Assistant to join our vibrant care home team. In this vital role, you will lead overnight care operations, ensuring residents receive exceptional support and safety throughout the night. Duties
- Oversee the night-time running of the care home, ensuring smooth operations and resident safety
- Supervise and support junior care staff, providing guidance and leadership during your shift
- Assist residents with personal care needs, medication administration, and emotional support
- Monitor residents’ wellbeing through regular checks, responding promptly to any concerns or emergencies
- Maintain accurate documentation of care activities, incidents, and updates to individual care plans
- Communicate effectively with day staff during handovers to ensure continuity of care
- Use IT systems to update records, review care plans, and report on resident status efficiently
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory or leadership experience within a care home or senior care setting
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, and team members
- Knowledge of developing and implementing personalized care plans
- Ability to use IT systems confidently for record-keeping and reporting purposes
- Valid driving license preferred for transportation needs or emergency situations
- Experience in caring for older adults with diverse needs is highly desirable
- Demonstrated understanding of safeguarding procedures and health & safety regulations
