Night Auditor

About This Role

Working the overnight shift, the Night Auditor performs end-of-day accounting tasks and front desk duties, assisting late-night guests, processing check-ins and check-outs, and addressing customer requests. This position suits an experienced guest service professional with a flair for hospitality and proficiency in record keeping and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform all audit procedures as set forth by the hotel and company, on a daily basis
• Perform and attribute all required audit reports
• Balance all cash receipts and work performed during the audit shift
• Prepare the front office for the 'A' shift and reset the day's business
• Answer the switchboard, complete room reservations and work with housekeeping and maintenance to fulfill guest requests
• Enter banquet and other charges and communicate with banquet, sales and accounting departments
• Act as a manager on duty when necessary
• Participate in front office meetings and trainings

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent experience is required
• 1-2 years of hotel front desk or night auditor experience is required
• Guest service oriented and have an interest in hospitality
• Excellent communications skills
• Familiarity with MS Office applications and comfort with using other internet based platforms
• Understanding of accounting and reporting functions as well as financial management skills is required
• Open availability throughout week
