About This Role
This night auditor position is an overnight role at a hotel, focusing on providing excellent guest service and ensuring the hotel is prepared for the next day. It suits a friendly, dependable individual who enjoys helping others and is comfortable working overnight shifts.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude
- Keep accurate accounts of cash, checks, and credit transactions
- Handle confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree of integrity
- Make daily deposits (as applicable)
- Verify room charges and rates; verify register has appropriate starting cash
- Manage daily paperwork including occupancy report, guest list, cash drawer summary, balance sheet, account summary, history file, and housekeeping report
- Submit reports to corporate office as appropriate
- Monitor room availability
- Block rooms and handle guest requests
- Perform and document security walks on a regular basis
- Have a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures and implementation of procedures
- Prepare continental breakfast on time; replenish breakfast items as needed
- Perform duties of a Guest Service Agent, including laundry functions as directed
- May be required to make management decisions in manager’s absence
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Desire to work overnight shifts

- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain professional and calm when handling guest concerns
- Ability to handle confidential guest information with integrity
- Basic computer and cash-handling skills
- Reliable and dependable attendance
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
- Ability to keep accurate accounts of cash, checks, and credit transactions
- Passionate about hospitality and creating an exceptional guest experience
Nice to have:
- 6 months – 1+ year of Night Audit experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
