About This Role
This engineering role focuses on building and maintaining the web front-end for a high-traffic exchange, including live trading screens, wallet and deposit/withdrawal flows, KYC onboarding, and marketing pages. The work involves handling real money and real-time data, emphasizing speed, accuracy, security, and design. You will collaborate closely with backend, product, design, and security teams, taking ownership of features from design to production.
Responsibilities
- Build fast, responsive SSR/SSG/ISR pages in Next.js (App Router) using React and TypeScript, including Server Components and server actions where appropriate
- Develop real-time trading interfaces, order books, live tickers, trade history, order placement, and portfolio views that remain smooth under heavy WebSocket traffic
- Integrate REST and WebSocket APIs for live prices, order books, balances, and order status, with built-in reconnection, throttling, and error handling
- Build secure user flows: sign-up, login, OTP, 2FA, KYC onboarding, deposits, withdrawals, and wallet management
- Own Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS), SEO (metadata, structured data, sitemaps), and accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) across the web app and marketing pages
- Convert Figma designs into pixel-accurate, reusable components and help maintain a shared design system
- Apply front-end security practices: secure token handling, XSS/CSRF protection, Content Security Policy, and safe handling of sensitive user data
- Manage client and server state cleanly with React Query, Zustand, or Redux, and keep displayed balances and prices accurate
- Write unit and integration tests, review peers' code, and ship through CI/CD pipelines with Git-based workflows
- Monitor production issues, fix bugs quickly, and work with backend, QA, and product teams on releases
Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional front-end development, with at least 3 years in React and 2+ years in Next.js on production apps
- Strong TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
- Next.js App Router, SSR/SSG/ISR, routing, middleware, and caching/revalidation
- Styling with Tailwind CSS and/or CSS Modules; responsive, mobile-first layouts
- State and data management with React Query, Zustand, or Redux
- Authentication flows: JWT (access/refresh tokens), OTP, and 2FA
- REST and WebSocket API integration for real-time data
- Proven work on Core Web Vitals, technical SEO, and accessibility
- Git (branching, pull requests, code reviews) and CI/CD basics (e.g., GitHub Actions, Vercel, or Docker-based deploys)
- Clear communication and ownership of features end to end
Nice to have:
- TradingView charting library (Advanced Charts or Lightweight Charts) integration
