About the role
A confidential opportunity is available with an established Chicago litigation practice seeking a senior workers’ compensation defense attorney at the partner level. This role is designed for an attorney who can step into an active defense-side workers’ compensation docket and serve as a trusted advisor to clients.

THE ROLE
- Defend workers’ compensation claims from initial evaluation through resolution, including strategy, budgeting, and client communication.
- Handle core litigation tasks such as discovery, depositions, medical record analysis, motion practice, hearings, and settlement negotiations.
- Advise clients on risk exposure, claim handling strategy, and case resolution options.
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to manage files efficiently and maintain high-quality work product.

Location:
Chicago, Illinois.
Schedule:
Hybrid with an in-office expectation of 3 days per week.
Compensation:
$200,000 base salary.
REQUIREMENTS
- 8 to 15 years of workers’ compensation defense litigation experience.
- Active Illinois bar admission in good standing.
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
- Strong case management skills, including the ability to run matters independently and communicate clearly with clients.
