A confidential Texas-based law firm is seeking a Senior Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Attorney to handle sophisticated creditor-side matters, with a primary focus on bankruptcy litigation and related litigation trust work.

⚖️ The Role:
Represent secured and unsecured creditors in Chapter 11 reorganizations and Chapter 7 liquidations
Manage contested bankruptcy litigation, including adversary proceedings and contested matters
Handle motion practice and courtroom advocacy, including stay relief, claims objections, and related disputes
Advise creditor clients on strategy, risk, and resolution options throughout the case lifecycle
Support litigation trust-related matters, including litigation strategy and claim administration support where applicable
Serve in special counsel capacities for creditor constituencies and coordinate with referring counsel as needed
Develop and expand a creditor-side practice through business development and relationship management
📍 Location, Schedule and Compensation:
Location: Texas, Houston area
Schedule: Hybrid, in office 3 days per week
✅ Requirements:
Active Texas Bar admission
15+ years licensed in Texas with substantial bankruptcy and creditors’ rights experience
Meaningful experience in creditor representation, including bankruptcy litigation
Experience with litigation trust work and special counsel-style engagements
Creditor-side practice focus for this role
Demonstrated business development capability, including the ability to originate at least $750,000 annually
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school

💰 Compensation and Benefits:
Annual billable target: 1,600 hours
