A confidential Texas law firm is seeking an Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney to support a defense-side insurance practice handling coverage analysis and related litigation. This is a strong fit for an attorney who wants substantive responsibility, frequent issue spotting, and hands-on work with policies, claims, and disputes.

THE ROLE
- Analyze and interpret insurance policies, exclusions, endorsements, and coverage triggers.
- Draft coverage correspondence and position letters, and support coverage strategy development.
- Assist with or manage coverage litigation tasks, including pleadings, written discovery, and motion practice.
- Prepare research memos and client-facing work product with attention to detail and practical risk framing.
- Coordinate with internal teams and clients on claim handling, documentation, and dispute resolution efforts.

Compensation:
Minimum base salary: $175,000
REQUIREMENTS
- Active Texas bar admission (in good standing).
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
- At least 1 year of insurance coverage experience.
- Demonstrated quality of work, including strong legal research and writing skills.
- Practical experience managing assignments and deadlines at the appropriate level.
PREFERRED BACKGROUND
- Collaborative working style and a long-term, team-oriented mindset.
- Experience in a boutique or entrepreneurial practice environment.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Annual billable target: 1,900 hours.
