About the role
Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Neurologist (Per Diem) to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan. Metropolitan Hospital is a full-service community hospital that provides state-of-the-art care and leading-edge technology in a modern environment. We provide culturally sensitive care to patients from all five New York City boroughs in a welcoming and hospitable setting and utilizing the latest advances in medical science. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with New York Medical College to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Opportunity Details:

Involves in-patient consultation service and out-patient clinic work, as well as teaching for Medical Residents and Medical Students.

In the Neurology Department, we treat acute stroke patients with tPA - Thrombectomy cases are transferred.

We have won the AHA/ASA GWTG (Get With The Guidelines) Gold Plus Award in stroke for 6 years in a row.

EMGs are performed and interpreted by the Rehabilitation Department.

Board Certification or Eligibility in Neurology.

Active and unrestricted NYS medical license.

Ability to speak Spanish is preferred, but not required.
Per Diem Rate: $106.77* per hour
