About the role
Role Overview: This position supports the operational functions of a neuro step-down unit, overseeing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and participating in staffing, budgeting, and service recovery efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage direct reports, including onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and professional development.
- Coordinate staffing needs, monitor hours, approve payroll, and handle staff communication and meetings.
- Ensure staff meet regulatory, competency, and environmental readiness standards through audits and corrective actions.
- Participate in budget development and respond to operational changes to meet financial goals.
- Lead service recovery efforts, investigate operational issues, and support patient outcome improvements.
- Develop and analyze reports, trends, and compliance data to inform decisions and improve care quality.
Qualifications & Skills
- RN license with a Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience; supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
