Network Administrator

About This Role

This Network Administrator role involves installing, configuring, maintaining, monitoring, and securing an organization's network infrastructure. The position ensures high availability, performance, and security across LAN, WAN, wireless, cloud, and network security systems, while also providing essential technical support and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Work a flexible schedule including night, evening shifts, and weekends as needed
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks
• Monitor network performance, availability, and security
• Implement and maintain routing and switching protocols such as BGP, OSPF, STP, HSRP, LACP, and VLANs
• Administer LAN, WAN, Internet connectivity, and VPN services
• Configure and manage firewalls, content filtering, and network security solutions
• Analyze network capacity and performance and recommend improvements
• Perform network upgrades, patches, and change implementation activities
• Maintain network monitoring and alerting systems
• Document network diagrams, configurations, procedures, and asset inventory
• Support disaster recovery planning and business continuity initiatives
• Provide technical support and assist helpdesk teams with network-related incidents
• Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
• 3-5+ years of network administration experience
• Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNA / CCNP or Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE
