About The Role SSG is seeking a talented and experienced .Net/C# Developer to join its Veterans Affairs department on a full-time basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on critical projects that support veterans and government services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software development, with a focus on .Net and C# technologies, and will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex enterprise systems. This position requires a proactive individual capable of working independently within a dynamic environment, collaborating with IT and business units to deliver high-quality solutions. The role also involves performing code reviews, system enhancements, and troubleshooting to ensure system integrity and performance.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 8+ years of professional experience in C# and/or .Net development, with a proven track record of working in large-scale enterprise environments. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software or Systems Engineering, or an equivalent technical field is required. Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance, and U.S. citizenship is mandatory for this position. Expertise in containerization, AWS cloud services, SQL databases, GIT version control, and JIRA project management tools is essential. Experience working in a high-paced DevOps environment and with remote U.S.-based teams (excluding offshore teams) is highly desirable. Certifications are not mandatory but AWS Cloud Certification is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain software applications using C# and .Net frameworks, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Perform detailed code reviews to ensure code quality, security, and performance.
• Design and develop computer systems and prototypes based on user requirements, translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Implement system enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and perform maintenance to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with IT functional units and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet organizational objectives.
• Utilize containerization technologies, such as Docker, to streamline deployment processes and improve system scalability.
• Manage database operations, including writing optimized SQL queries and maintaining data integrity.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum methodologies, contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Maintain documentation related to system architecture, development processes, and deployment procedures.

Benefits SSG offers a competitive salary range of $85,389 to $116,975, commensurate with experience.
