About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior/Lead .NET Backend Developer to join our dynamic team on a contractual basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust APIs and microservices that power enterprise-level applications. This role requires a deep understanding of modern backend architectures, cloud integrations, and AI technologies. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards.
Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on .NET technologies. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in C# and .NET 6/8+ in production environments, along with a comprehensive understanding of microservices, SOA, and event-driven architecture patterns. Experience with REST, SOAP, and Webhook integrations is essential, as is familiarity with data formats such as JSON, XML, Protocol Buffers, and flat files. A solid grasp of SOLID principles, design patterns, CQRS, and Clean Architecture is required. Candidates should also have hands-on experience with cloud services like Azure Logic Apps, AWS Lambda, or equivalent API Gateway solutions. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Build and own APIs, designing and delivering production-grade RESTful services using ASP.NET Core; responsible for the entire lifecycle from specifications to deployment.
- Drive the adoption of event-driven architecture by implementing message-broker solutions such as Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, or Kafka to facilitate asynchronous, decoupled communication between microservices.
- Write high-performance querying logic in C# and LINQ, ensuring efficient handling of JSON, XML, and other data formats across microservices.
- Develop and maintain clean, scalable data access layers utilizing Entity Framework Core across SQL Server databases.
- Implement security best practices by integrating OAuth2, OpenID Connect, API Gateway policies, and end-to-end encryption to safeguard all integration points.
- Automate deployment processes by building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, ensuring consistent and reliable releases.
- Stay updated with the latest AI technologies, actively exploring and integrating tools like MS Co Pilot, Amazon Q, and other AI solutions to enhance development processes and product offerings.
