Role Overview The position involves serving as a Transplant Nephrologist and Medical Director for an adult kidney transplant program. Responsibilities include overseeing
pre- and post-transplant care for kidney transplant candidates and recipients, managing living donor evaluations and post-donation care, and actively participating in
Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives in compliance with CMS and UNOS regulations. The role also entails collaborating with
clinical and administrative teams to develop the transplant program, enhance outreach, and increase referrals. Administrative duties include program development,
workflow optimization, and community engagement.
Qualifications & Skills
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine and Transplant Nephrology Fellowship.
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.
- Strong patient care commitment and team collaboration skills.
- Ability to obtain a Virginia Medical License.
