Duties
The primary purpose of this Air Reserve Technician (ART) position is to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) officer is directly responsible to the Unit Commander to manage the inspection preparation program for the wing/group. Serves as the unit point of contact for the coordination and execution of the Unit's Readiness and Compliance Training Plans. Responsible for integrating supporting exercise/events and readiness/compliance philosophies and initiatives into unit activities. Incumbent of this position will perform the following duties:
- Manage the Unit's Major Event Cycle (MEC).
- Lead unit preparations for Readiness and Compliance Inspections.
- Lead/manage unit Exercise Evaluation Team (EET) efforts, supporting internal and external taskings.
- Perform duties as an additional duty instructor/flight examiner as deemed appropriate.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the flying hours requirement below, qualify for a USAF Navigator Rating, and be currently qualified (within last 36 months) as a Navigator Instructor in a flying component of a U.S. MILITARY ESTABLISHMENT. (Active Duty or Reserve)
Flying Hours Required:
Navigator (Instructor), GS-12
Must have logged 1,000 hours as a Navigator in a military fixed-wing aircraft. Must be currently instructor qualified in the C-130 aircraft.NOTE: Flying hours logged as a student Navigator are creditable.
