Nanny

Role Description This part-time, on-site Nanny role is based in Port Elgin, ON and involves providing consistent, attentive care to a young teen in their home environment. The Nanny will prepare simple, nutritious meals and snacks, assist with basic household tasks related to the child, and maintain a clean, safe environment.

The role also involves following family guidelines(especially around chores and tech time), communicating about the child’s needs and progress, and ensuring their physical and emotional safety at all times. There are 2 cats and a dog (lab) in the home. Some assistance with pet care is also required - ensuring/assisting with dog walks and feeding animals.

Care schedule will be based on shift work and will vary week to week. After school, evenings (overnights possible) and weekends. Schedule will be provided well in advance.

Some transportation may be required, so a drivers license and vehicle is an asset. Biligual Eng/Fr is great but not a must.

Qualifications

• Strong childcare and babysitting skills, with experience working with children in a home or similar setting.
• Knowledge of childhood development
• Ability to cook and prepare healthy meals
• Reliable, patient, and compassionate demeanor, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow family routines and guidelines and demonstrate sound judgment.
• Basic first aid and CPR certification is an asset

. Being a parent counts! Bringing your own children is also permitted.

• Ability to work part time on-site in Port Elgin, ON, with consistent punctuality and dependability.
• Applicants interested in active engagement with walks and/or sports (bikes, soccer, playing catch) are preferred
