About This Role
This nanny position involves taking full responsibility for household duties and childcare in the parents' absence. The role suits a self-motivated individual with good interpersonal skills who can manage various tasks from light housekeeping to child supervision and meal preparation.
Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Go shopping for food and household supplies
- Accompany the family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
- Wash, iron, and press clothes and household linens
- Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children
- Discipline children using the methods specified by the parents
- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
- Keep daily activity and health records for children
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
- Organise activities for children such as games and outings
- Prepare and serve healthy meals
- Prepare infants and children for rest periods
- Sterilise bottles, prepare formula, and change infant diapers
- Supervise and care for children
- Look after the emotional well-being of children
- Supervise and care for a diverse group of children
Requirements
- Fluent in English or French
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry
- First Aid Certificate
- Able to handle weight up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
