About This Role
This full-time, live-out nanny position is for a family in SoHo with an infant daughter, starting no later than early January 2027. The role involves providing nurturing, proactive, and age-appropriate care, engaging with the child, and becoming a long-term partner in her development. The ideal candidate is calm, warm, loves children, and is confident with newborn and toddler milestones.
Responsibilities
- Provide nurturing and proactive care for an infant daughter
- Interact with the daughter in an engaging, loving, and age-appropriate way
- Complete all child-related duties, including meal preparation, tidying bedroom and play areas, and laundry
- Research and plan playdates and activities
- Actively engage in play and outdoor time
- Navigate internal stairs in the apartment
Requirements
- Authorization to work in the US
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience as a nanny, with years of experience caring for infants
- Well-suited demeanor for working with infants and eventual toddlers
- Desire to grow with the family
- Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity, and high emotional intelligence
- Proven tenure with multiple families, including excellent references
- Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development
- Open and flexible schedule, able to flex based on family's needs
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- Calm, warm, and loves kids
- Confident with newborn and toddler milestones
- Organized, independent, and professional with the ability to read the room

Important Details
- Start date: No later than early January 2027 (flexible for an earlier start date for an ideal candidate, open to part-time hours in November/December based on candidate preference and availability)
- Schedule: Guaranteed 40 hours a week, generally between 8am - 6pm; flexible for Monday - Thursday (longer days) or Monday - Friday schedule; additional hours (evenings/weekends) available if desired
- Travel: Required, including summer in Montauk with some live-in
- Children: Infant daughter (born August 2026)
