About This Role
This role involves providing support and therapeutic care to children with developmental concerns or disabilities at a child development support and after-school day service. The Music Therapist will lead music programs, assist with self-care skills, help children participate in group activities, and support their interactions during free time.
Responsibilities
- Provide support and therapeutic care to children with developmental concerns or disabilities
- Lead music programs
- Assist with self-care training and practice
- Support participation in group programs
- Assist with interactions during free time
- Provide transportation for children
- Interact with parents
- Perform administrative tasks
- Handle cleaning and other management duties
Requirements
- Teacher's license (Music) or Elementary School Teacher qualification
Nice to have:
- Childcare worker qualification (advantageous)
- Practical experience with children, even for a short period (advantageous)
- Driver's license (automatic limited acceptable)
- Qualification only, no practical experience is also acceptable
