About This Role
This part-time music teacher position involves sharing the gift of music with students at two locations. The role is ideal for a multi-instrumentalist who enjoys teaching and is looking to grow their career in music education.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver appropriate teaching duties
- Update parents with their child's weekly progressions
- Ensure professional conduct at all times
- Ensure punctuality and attendance with responsibility
Requirements
- Ability to teach Piano, Guitar, Drum, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Violin, Viola, Cello, or Vocal
- Ability to teach two or more instruments (candidates with this ability will be considered first)
- For your primary instrument, ability to teach at an advanced level (RCM level 8 or above is sufficient)
- For your secondary instrument, ability to teach at a beginner level (RCM level 2 or above is sufficient)
- University or college students currently in a music degree are welcomed
- 1 or more year(s) of teaching experience or working with kids and adolescents aged 4 and above
- Residing in Toronto for the long term
- Willingness to travel to Markham and Richmond Hill
- Enrolled in or graduated from a post-secondary institution
- Own a car and driver's license
- Ability to teach in person at both Markham and Richmond Hill locations
