Part-Time Music Teacher (Tues and Thurs preferred) – Starting August 2026

Saint John the Baptist Catholic School in Jordan is seeking a part-time Music Teacher to bring the joy of music to our Preschool through 8th-grade students.
In This Role, You Will:
- Teach general music education to students in Preschool through Grade 8 using our wonderful resources or using things that you select!
- Foster a love of music through singing, movement, instruments, and music theory
- Build meaningful relationships with students and families
- Use our wonderful instrument collection to get students involved in their learning!
- Contribute to a faith-filled school community
- Prepare students to share all they learned with our community at concerts (Note: Mass music is prepared by someone else.)

Position Details:
- Part-time position (2 days per week, prefer Tues. and Thurs., approx. 7:45-3:45)
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
- A practicing Catholic who actively participates in the sacramental life of the Church
- A licensed music teacher (preferred) or an individual with a degree in music education, choral direction, or a related field, or a degree in something else but a passion for music
- Experience teaching music to elementary and/or middle school students (preferred)
- Strong classroom management and communication
- Ability to pass background checks and complete required safe environment training
