About This Role
This mover role involves safely loading, unloading, and transporting goods and furniture for residential and commercial clients. It suits a physically capable individual with strong customer service skills and experience with moving equipment.
Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload furniture, boxes, and other items onto trucks using proper lifting techniques and equipment such as dollies, forklifts, or pallet jacks
- Assist customers with moving items in a courteous and professional manner
- Operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles, including manual transmission models, ensuring safe driving practices
- Plan routes for deliveries or pickups, adhering to schedules and safety regulations
- Use route driving skills to efficiently navigate to multiple locations throughout the day
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of moving trucks and equipment
- Assist with disassembly and reassembly of furniture as needed
- Load and unload items at designated locations, ensuring items are secured during transit
- Perform heavy lifting tasks regularly while adhering to safety standards
Requirements
- Customer service experience with a focus on client satisfaction
- Commercial driving skills, including experience with box trucks and route driving
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other moving equipment safely
- Strong physical strength for heavy lifting and manual labor tasks
- Experience with moving or relocation services highly desirable
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Good organizational skills for route planning and load management
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
Nice to have:
- Warehouse experience
- Delivery driver experience; familiarity with courier services is advantageous
