About This Role
This role involves the safe and efficient handling of furniture and other items during moves, working as part of a supportive team. It suits a reliable and hardworking individual who can regularly lift heavy items and enjoys physical work.
Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload furniture, bins, and other items using proper lifting techniques and equipment such as dollies when necessary
- Pack items securely to prevent damage during transit, utilizing appropriate packing materials and methods
- Assist with disassembly and reassembly of furniture or equipment as needed for transport
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace during packing and moving processes
- Backup driver for box trucks or commercial vehicles with manual transmission to transport items between locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload trucks efficiently while ensuring the safety of team members and items being moved
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to coordinate moving schedules and address any special handling requirements
Requirements
- Reliable, professional, and hardworking
- Able to regularly lift 50+ lbs
- Valid Driver's License (Required)
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) for drivers
- Positive team player with a strong work ethic and great attitude
