About the role
Duties
In this position, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a wide variety of motor vehicles. Typical assignments include:
- Operating heavy load tractor-trailer refueling vehicles and auxiliary pumping system.
- Operating vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GWR) of more than 32,000 pounds.
- Coupling and uncoupling trucks and trailers.
- Maneuvering vehicles with close tolerances when driving and backing.
- Performing operator maintenances on motor vehicles.
- Operating (vans, pickup trucks, and sedans) for courier services in the DC Metropolitan area.
Qualifications
Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The time-in-grade requirement must be met within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
