Mortgage loans are evaluated by the Underwriter to ensure they meet policy guidelines, assess risk levels, and comply with industry standards and deadlines. This role supports Mortgage Loan Officers by reviewing and analyzing documentation to determine loan eligibility, creditworthiness, and adherence to regulatory and institutional standards. The Underwriter also works closely with investors, prepares necessary disclosures, and ensures all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
