Mortgage Loan Officer

About This Role

This role involves offering mortgage services to the company's real estate customers, providing a seamless home buying transaction. The Mortgage Loan Officer will build relationships with agents and customers, and win loan business through the services offered. This is a remote position based in the Greater DFW area, with monthly agent networking events.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients about current needs and financing solutions to help them achieve their financial goals, including unique offerings such as the Equity Advance loan
• Build relationships with the company's real estate agents and collaborate with them to create a home buying experience for customers
• Be the "go to person" for all home financing-related needs that customers or agents have, including being the expert on the Equity Advance loan and Move First offering
• Close a high percentage of captive leads and manage a pipeline of at least 10-15 loans per month, primarily purchases with some refinances
• Work collaboratively with other teams across the company's ecosystem in Real Estate and Title Operations to provide the best customer outcomes
• Support weekend coverage once per month to ensure customers have the support they need even on weekends

Requirements

• At least 3+ years experience with lending experience and an active NMLS license or registered (Texas required)
• Strong consultative sales skills to get customers the best financial outcome and help them understand the programs available to them
• A passion for customer service and relationship building, keeping both customers and agents in the loop on what is going on, even if that is after hours or on a weekend
• Deep knowledge of guidelines pertaining to Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA with the ability to provide high quality pre-approvals/pre-qualifications
• Technology savvy with the ability to learn and work with new systems especially as the mortgage world progresses

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with common non-QM programs and reno/construction loans
• Experience with Blend and Byte (or similar systems)
