About This Role
This Mortgage Loan Officer role is for a licensed, self-generated professional seeking comprehensive lender support to scale their business and maximize success. The position involves building client relationships, developing referral partnerships, and guiding prospective homebuyers through the loan process.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and your personal database
- Develop and strengthen partnerships with realtors, CPAs, and other referral partners to generate new lending opportunities
- Represent WeLoan at networking events, including industry seminars, chamber meetings, realtor functions, open houses, and more
- Counsel and pre-qualify prospective homebuyers
- Accurately complete Uniform Residential Loan Applications (URLA)
- Collect and review supporting loan documentation to ensure full compliance with RESPA, TILA, and HMDA regulations
- Oversee loan files for compliance with FNMA, FHLMC, VA, FHA, and investor guidelines
- Maintain consistent communication with loan processors, buyers, realtors, and builders regarding loan status updates
- Utilize CRM (Salesforce) and LOS (Encompass) with full support from our elite in-house processing and funding teams
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Mortgage Loan Originator with a proven track record of self-generated production
- Active CA NMLS (DFPI) license required
- Strong knowledge of loan products, including Conventional, Government, Non-QM, HELOCs, I/O, ARMs, Jumbo, Refi, and Purchase loans
- Proficient in Encompass and Salesforce
- Deep understanding of loan structuring, pricing, mortgage products, loan programs, and regulatory requirements
- NMLS (Required)
