Mortgage Loan Officer

About This Role

This Mortgage Loan Officer position involves originating residential mortgage loans and advising applicants on available products and procedures. The role requires strong resiliency and a commitment to high levels of customer service, working with a team that prioritizes people over loan size.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of duties relating to the origination of residential mortgage loans
• Maintain knowledge of and advise applicants on available loan products, processing procedures, and underwriting guidelines
• Meet standards and objectives defined by management for mortgage loan sales and cross-sell other Credit Union products
• Work with a team who values people over money and does not turn away loans based off their size
• Maintain high levels of customer service while managing each applicant, vendor, and department expectations
• Establish and maintain professional partnerships with realtors and others within the community which benefits the Credit Union

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and/or 2 years of progressive experience in lending related positions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to demonstrate strong resiliency
