Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers with lesson planning and implementing educational activities aligned with Montessori methods, including literacy, math, and early childhood development concepts
- Support classroom management by maintaining a positive, organized environment conducive to focused learning and respectful behavior
- Engage with children during activities, providing guidance and encouragement to foster independence and confidence
- Help monitor children
- Support children with special needs or disabilities, including those with autism or requiring additional behavioral management strategies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials, ensuring all resources are accessible and in good condition
- Collaborate with teachers to adapt lessons for diverse learners and assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) when necessary
Requirements
- Experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings, ideally within a preschool or private school environment
- Strong understanding of childhood development, early childhood education, and classroom management techniques
- Knowledge of Montessori teaching principles, lesson planning, and classroom organization
- Ability to work effectively with children with special needs, including those with autism or disabilities
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff clearly and professionally
- Technical proficiency in educational tools or software relevant to early childhood instruction
- Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for working with students at various developmental stages
