About The Role We are seeking a skilled Mobile Developer specializing in React Native and Expo to join our IT team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing, developing, and maintaining our new digital platform, which aims to revolutionize the shopping experience for our customers. Your responsibilities will include building high-performance, scalable mobile applications for both Android and iOS platforms from the ground up. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, UX designers, backend developers, DevOps, and QA specialists, to deliver innovative and reliable digital solutions. The position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from conceptualization and coding to deployment and ongoing optimization, ensuring a high standard of quality and performance. You will also be instrumental in shaping the architecture of our mobile applications, supporting their scalability, robustness, and user experience enhancements. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have several years of professional experience in mobile application development using React Native and Expo, preferably within digital platforms or technology-driven growth environments. A solid understanding of modern software architectures, clean code principles, API design, performance optimization, and testing methodologies is essential. Experience working within agile teams and collaborating with cross-functional product teams is highly valued. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms such as Azure, and DevOps practices like CI/CD pipelines will be advantageous. The candidate should demonstrate a passion for building innovative digital products and possess a strong sense of ownership, a hands-on mentality, and entrepreneurial thinking. Excellent communication skills in both German and English are required, alongside the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen interest in emerging technologies are also important.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications for Android and iOS platforms using React Native and Expo from scratch.
• Collaborate with product owners, UX designers, backend, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver high-quality digital solutions.
• Take responsibility for the entire engineering process, including technical conception, coding, testing, deployment, and operational support.
• Ensure software quality through adherence to modern development standards, automated testing, and rigorous code reviews.
• Continuously evolve the architecture of mobile applications to support scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Monitor and optimize app performance and stability, implementing improvements based on data and user feedback.
• Contribute ideas for enhancing user experiences, development workflows, and technical architecture, and implement these innovations.
• Utilize modern AI-powered tools to improve code quality, testing procedures, documentation, and developer productivity.
• Own your solutions and provide technical guidance and support to team members facing challenges.
• Work with a tech stack that includes React Native, Expo, REST APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure Cloud services.
