About This Role

This Mobile Developer role is a key position for a prominent California-based bank with a legacy spanning over a century. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive audits to ensure compliance with federal and state banking regulations, internal policies, and industry standards. Your expertise will help safeguard the bank's operations, mitigate risks, and promote a culture of compliance and ethical conduct.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and document comprehensive audits of various banking operations, including branch banking, lending, and compliance functions
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management practices, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Identify areas of potential risk or non-compliance and recommend corrective actions to management
• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and track remediation efforts
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure audit procedures remain relevant and effective
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, risk, and operational departments, to foster a culture of compliance
• Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior management and stakeholders
• Assist in the development and enhancement of internal audit policies, procedures, and training programs
• Support the bank's compliance initiatives by conducting targeted reviews and risk assessments
• Utilize audit software and data analytics tools to streamline audit processes and improve accuracy

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field; equivalent work experience will also be considered
• At least five years of compliance-related experience within a bank compliance/BSA group, internal audit, or regulatory agency
• Strong knowledge of Federal and California State consumer protection laws and regulations, including Regulation Z, Regulation X, Regulation DD, Regulation E, Flood, Fair Lending, CRA, Privacy, and BSA/AML/OFAC requirements
• Professional certifications such as CRCM, CAMS, CIA, CISA, or CRMA are required
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Strong business acumen in risk management and controls, with sound judgment and integrity
• Proficiency in MS Office suite and ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information

• Experience with audit software (preferably AuditBoard, Jack Henry, COGNOS) and data analytics
